New York City -- August 2008

Ariana had a great Freshman year!  Alli has graduated and is on to Grad School and TFA.... this post from last August seems almost forever ago.

Well, we are back from New York and moving Ariana into her first apartment. The weekend was great. Alli decided to come with us to New York (which extended her trip back to school) but it was so nice to have her there too.

It is so hard to say goodbye to them, but we know they are in good hands!

The city was crazy. There were a few colleges with the same "move-in" period. Stores like Bed Bath and Beyond and Trader Joe's were packed with people, but apparently they've been through this before because things moved quickly.

Again, we were very impressed with The King's College. It is awesome and the professors have great credentials and seemed very personable. The college president got his undergrad from Oxford and his MBA from Harvard -- he's British with a great British accent (the accent being the greatest of his achievements of course.) The staff is great, the living situation is great and the city is great. We believe it will be a great year.

College Bound -- August 2008

We leave tomorrow morning for New York to move Ariana into her apartment right next door to the Empire State building. What an exciting/surreal moment in our lives. Alli leaves tomorrow morning to driving to ONU, stopping half way at Hilary's (thank you Hilary). Pray for safe travels for all and a wonderful and exiting Senior year for Alli and Freshman year for Ariana. I can't believe this time is here! Daddy's little girls are leaving... we'll miss you!
